About the Algonkin Fly Fishers
The Algonkin Fly Fishers is an Ottawa Valley fly fishing club located in Eganville, Ontario, Canada. The club was founded in 2003 to promote fly fishing and fly tying in the Ottawa Valley. Our goal is to provide information on fly fishing and fly tying for beginner and experienced fly fishers.
Meetings are held every other Thursday from October to April. We emphasize the sharing of experiences, knowledge and stories. Our meetings alternate between fly fishing presentations and fly tying instruction. Presentations include information on casting, gear selection, fly fishing techniques, and fishing locations. Our fly tying nights focus on fly patterns that work locally for a variety of fish species.
