Algonkin Fly Fishers - An Ottawa Valley Fly Fishing Club

The Algonkin Fly Fishers club promotes fly fishing and fly tying in the Ottawa Valley. We are located in Eganville, Ontario, Canada. The club caters to both new and experienced fly fishers. We invite you to join us at a meeting or a fly fishing outing to experience what our club has to offer. We currently have members from the Ottawa Valley communities of Eganville, Renfrew, Arnprior, Deep River, Pembroke, Petawawa, Cobden, Golden Lake, Lake Dore, Carp, and Carleton Place.

December 15, 2009:
Updated stocking lists for Pembroke, Bancroft, Kemptville and Algonquin districts have been posted on the Downloads page.

September 18, 2009:
Our first meeting of the season is on Thursday, October 8th at our usual location, the basement of the Grace Lutheran Church in Eganville. Details are on the Calendar page. A printable version of the calendar is available from the Downloads page.

July 27, 2009:
The bass tournament was a great success with a total of 18 participants from the Algonkin and Ottawa Fly Fishers. The forcasted heavy rain and thunderstorms held off long enough for us to get a full day of fishing. Congratulation to Lucas Radema who won the event with an 18.5" largemouth. Thank you to Jeff Radema, Lew Ricker, Paul Ricker, and Greg Wright of Float, Paddle & Fly for providing the door prizes.

Members are reminded to bring their tube fly tying mandrels to the next meeting (January 8th). Spare mandrels will be available for those who require them.
