Hook: #6-12, 3X or 4X length (Mustad 9672 or 79580)
Thread: 6/0 Tan
Overbody: Brown foam with white foam as sight indicators
Underbody: Tan foam
Abdomen: Brown crystal chenille (small)
Legs: Brown round rubber
Instructions1. Wrap an even base of thread from behind the eye to above the barb.
2. Cut out a piece of tan foam ¼ inch in width and 1 ½ times the shank length.
3. Tie in the tan foam along the entire length of the shank with some loose wraps of thread then tighten the wraps as you continue to tie the foam to the shank.
4. Tie in the brown crystal chenille at the back above the barb.
5. Cut out a ¼ inch piece of brown foam. Tie it in tightly at the back above the barb. Make sure the tail of the brown foam extends beyond the tail of the tan foam.
6. Tie in a pair of brown rubber legs at the back above the barb; position them so that there is a leg on each side.
7. Tie in a small square of white foam on top at the back above the barb. Take thread forward to behind eye.
8. Wrap the chenille forward under the top layer of foam to just behind hook eye, tie off and trim.
9. Pull the brown foam forward and tie off where the chenille ends.
10. Tie in a pair of brown rubber legs at the front behind the eye.
11. Tie in a small square of white foam on top behind the eye.
12. Whip finish.
13. Trim the rear and front of the foam to shape.
