Thread: 6/0 or 8/0 Black
Hook: #12-18 Curved Caddis or Scud
Body: Coloured Wire (Copper, Red, Green, or Black)
Thorax: Peacock Herl
Head: Gold bead, sized to hook (optional)
Tying Instructions:
1. Place bead on hook
2. Place hook in vice
3. Start thread behind bead
4. Bind in wire along hook shank to near hook bend
5. Wrap thread forward to behind bead
6. Wrap a thread base in behind bead to prevent the bead from moving
7. Wrap wire with touching turns forward to within one eye width of bead
8. Tie in three peacock herls by tips
9. Wrap peacock herls around thread to create a rope
10. Wrap thread and peacock herl forward to behind bead
11. Whip finish, cut thread, and apply head cement to thread wraps
